How it works
Do I have to tap “I’m okay” every day?
No, only if you want to.
Check-in times with automatic alerts are optional: without one, nobody gets alerts if you don’t tap.
What happens if I forget to tap?
If you have a check-in time, you get a reminder first, then a stronger last reminder.
Only after the grace period do your loved ones get an alert, and a late “I’m okay” closes it.
Do my loved ones need the app?
Yes: “I’m okay” notifications and alerts only reach people with the app.
With SOS you can also send a ready-made text to three people without the app.
Does it work between iPhone and Android?
Yes, you connect with your personal code whatever phone you have.
Can two people use the same phone?
Each account belongs to one person.
A couple sharing one phone can call themselves “Mary and Joe”, but will get a single alert.
Location and privacy
Can my loved ones always see where I am?
No, never.
Your location is only sent in an automatic alert, if you don’t confirm by your check-in or “Back by” time, and with SOS.
How long is my data kept?
Location points are deleted after 48 hours, and location in alerts after 7 days.
Everything else for as long as you use the app, or until you delete your account.
Are there ads or tracking?
No.
No ads, no analytics tools in the app, no data sold.
Notifications and battery
Does it drain the battery?
Very little battery and very little data.
Location is only used around your check-in times and “Back by”.
I’m not getting notifications, what should I do?
Check that I’m Okay notifications are allowed and that a Focus mode isn’t blocking them.
On Android, exclude the app from battery saving: the app has a guide for every brand.
Then send a test notification.
Does it work offline?
No: when the phone is off, flat or offline the app can’t alert anyone.
That’s what the “quiet phone” and “battery almost flat” alerts are for.

How old do I need to be?
At least 16, in every country.
How much does it cost?
A three-day trial with everything, no card needed, then €0.99 a year.
I changed phones: how do I get everything back?
If you linked Apple, Google or your email, tap “I already have an account”.
Otherwise ask one of your contacts for a “reconnect” code, valid for 15 minutes.
How do I delete my account?
From Settings, “Delete account”.
Remember to cancel your subscription from the store first.
